There are a couple of good hotels available, which are located not so far from the University as well as the inner city.

Travel by plane

The closest airport is Hamburg Airport (HAM) in north Germany.
Most airlines will approach this airport from all over the world - or via Frankfurt.
Once landed in Hamburg, regional trains can be used to travel to Lübeck (see travel by train and bus).

Travel by train and bus

From Hamburg Airport (HAM) to Luebeck take local train (S-Bahn 1) to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof/Hbf (Central Railway Station); runs every 10 minutes (duration of trip 25 minutes).
From Hamburg Central Railway Station to Luebeck Hauptbahnhof/Hbf (Central Railway Station) take regional train (RE or RB); runs at least hourly (duration of trip 40 minutes).
By Bus from ZOB (Central Bus Station) or from several bus stops downtown to Lü̈beck University of Applied Sciences; runs every 10 minutes:
Bus 1 direction : Hochschulstadtteil
Bus 9 direction: Universitätsklinikum / Grillenweg
Bus 32 direction : Stephensonstrasse

Visa regulations

Residents from the European Union can enter Germany with their passport. No visa is required to enter the Federal Republic of Germany.
For residents from other countries maybe a visa is required for stays in Germany.
